Parker - you are such a blessing to our family! You are a great big brother. You are very attentive and always want to make sure Owen is being cared for. Although you are Mr. Independent, you are still a Momma's boy at heart and I love it. You say the silliest things to make Daddy and me laugh. You are a sweet, sweet boy and you have taught me so much in your 3.5 years. As the firstborn, you have had the incredible job of teaching me how to be a Mommy. I can't wait to see what the future holds for you!

P: Paint

P: Karate (?)

P: When you give me hugs (love that sweet boy)

P: Macaroni n' Cheese

P: Play soccer

P: Playing with me

First Bath and More Pictures

I found more pictures from Owen's birthday to share.  He's such a sweet baby boy and we love him more and more every day.  It is already hard to remember what life was like before he was part of the family.  Big brother Parker is adjusting nicely and is a very big helper! 

Owen's umbilical cord fell off yesterday, so he experienced his first bath tonight!  We had lots of help from Parker.

Parker's First Soccer Game

Laura sent me a message earlier saying that I'm the worst blogger ever!  We're still around, but we are busy!  As of today, we have nine days until we meet Baby Owen.  I think everything has basically been taken care of at this point - we are just counting down the days!

Jon's been hard at work putting new floors in throughout our entire downstairs.  It was quite a job that took three weekends and several hours of manual labor.  He did a great job and we love the finished result.

Parker also started soccer this spring.  He had a great time at practice last week, but wasn't so sure about the game.  He looked so cute in his soccer jersey.  The league is an under five age group and he is definitely one of the youngest ones on his team.  I think his favorite part was the granola bar and juice box he received after the game.  He told us he had fun though, which is the most important part!

Thanksgiving Performance

Parker's preschool had their annual Fall Fest this past week.  If you recall last year's performance, you would remember Parker wasn't really cut out for the stage.  I was nervous this year as to what kind of trouble he would cause, but he actually did a better job.  I even caught him singing a few different times.  Of course, when he and his friends all noticed one another it led to lots of running around!

Birthday Breakfast

Since we were still on a delayed schedule this morning from the recent snow and ice, I had the opportunity to make breakfast with Parker.  Lately, he has been obsessed with eggs...to the point that he wants them for every meal.  So, eggs it was!   

I think this is a sign of a good nights sleep!

A Look Back at 2010

It was so much fun looking back through 2010.  It was a busy and wonderful year!  I'm looking forward to see what 2011 holds.

So without further ado...

a few highlights from 2010:

In January 2010 we,

Rang in the New Year in New Jersey,

 Celebrated a first birthday,

and finished out the month with a trip to the mountains with friends.

In February 2010 we,

Kissed our little Valentine,

 

played in the snow,

 and helped throw a Couples Baby Shower for friends Zane and Ellen.

In March 2010 we,

Tackled a home improvement project and finished it.

In April 2010 we,

Visited the Holy City,

Received a first hair cut,

and took an adults-only trip to Sin City (here, here, here & here).

In May 2010 we,

 Spent Mother's Day at IOP

 and kicked off the summer with a neighborhood block party.

In June 2010 we,

 Celebrated Aunt Laura's graduation.

In July 2010 we,

 Celebrated the Fourth of July with fireworks in Charlotte

In August 2010 we,

Spent a week at the beach,

 played in the mountains,

and helped Aunt Laura move into Carolina.

In September 2010 we,

Did a lot of cheering for the Gamecocks; just about every Saturday.
 

In October 2010 we,

Took our first trip to a pumpkin patch,

visited the SC State Fair with friends and for a date night,

 and went trick-or-treating for the first time with our little cowboy.

In November 2010 we,

Ate turkey and gobbled 'til we wobbled...twice,

and took a trip to the zoo.

And, finally, in December 2010 we,

Met our elf,

made gingerbread houses with the Fox's,
 

celebrated Christmas (in a few different places),

and ended out the year playing in the snow!

What an incredible year!  We are so blessed!
