We had a great time in the mountains this past weekend with our good friends, Joe and Michelle. The weather was beautiful on Saturday. We enjoyed a stroll through downtown Blowing Rock, played plenty of board games at the cabin and made a big pot of Beaufort Stew. We woke up to a rainy day on Sunday, so we decided to head down to Charlotte for the night to see family.
Sadly, I didn't take very many pictures during our mountain weekend. Here are a few that I snapped:
Beautiful sunrise
The ice and snow bent this tree completely over!
How many people does it take to strap a baby into a stroller?
Over the weekend, Columbia had its annual World Beer Fest. Since we weren't able to attend, we had our own at the cabin.
We returned home on Monday to beautiful weather. It has been 70 degrees and sunny for the past couple of days. We were even able to get some plants in the ground. Today, the weather is rainy and cold, but we are hoping it improves before this weekend.
We have a couple home improvement projects to accomplish this weekend that I'll be blogging about soon!
