We've finally decided on a name - Owen Lewis Cowherd. We've also picked out a date for the repeat c-section I'll be having. As long as everything goes as planned, Owen will be here on Wednesday, March 21. And now that it is February, I can officially say, "next month!"
The past few weeks, Parker has been a big help getting things ready in the nursery and helping sort through all of his clothes. It has been so much fun to see him so excited about the baby. He keeps asking if Baby Owen is still growing in my tummy...that's all he has been hearing for the past several months. He likes to talk to Owen and normally when he does, Owen immediately starts to kick around!
Last night, we attended a Big Sibling class at the hospital where Owen will be born (same hospital where we had Parker). Parker learned how to hold a baby, how to change a diaper and even dressed up like a doctor (to help the children understand that doctors and nurses aren't scary). It was a lot of fun! We also watched a video and learned that babies like to cry...a lot! We're getting everything ready for Owen and are just counting down the days until he is here!
