Parker's Third Birthday

Three years old!  Where has the time gone?  Parker's birthday was this past weekend and we had a great time celebrating!

I dropped by Parker's class early on Friday afternoon with a batch of cupcakes.  Of course they were blue (his special request).  All of the kids enjoyed the cupcakes and it was fun to spend some time with his classmates.  We left school and went home and played for a few hours until Jon got home from work.

Parker had requested to eat at a Japanese Hibachi restaurant (mainly because we told him how much fun it would be to watch the chef cook in front of us).  It was a nice meal with just the three of us!  After dinner, Parker opened up a few presents, one of which was The Lion King DVD.  We made a big pallet and all settled in to watch the movie.  Parker stayed up for most of it, but ended up falling asleep in the last twenty minutes of the movie.

We were up bright and early on Saturday for a trip to Savannah.  My dad's installation service was on Sunday and several members of the family were making the trip to celebrate.

When we got there, we met up with everyone and had a birthday celebration at Granddaddy and Grandmomma's.  Parker had so much fun!  A little later in the evening, we had birthday cake.  The cake was actually for three people that all celebrated a birthday within the past week - Parker, Aunt Cameron and Uncle Doug!

We attended a wonderful service on Sunday morning with a very nice reception following.  Since Monday was a holiday, we were all able to stick around for an extra night and have some more family time together.  Parker thought the best part was the pizza we ordered for dinner.  It was enough to feed a crowd of 16!
