Corn and Pumpkins

We took an afternoon drive about an hour out of Columbia to McBee, South Carolina this past weekend.  We visited McLeod Farms (home of Mac's Pride peaches) for a walk through the corn maze and a trip to the pumpkin patch.  Aunt Laura was able to join us and we had a wonderful afternoon.  This year's corn maze was designed for the University of South Carolina's National Baseball Championship back-to-back win.  Since we had Jon with us, we breezed through the questions.  It was a fun way to spend a fall afternoon!

After the corn maze, we took the hayride back to the main area and waited for the hayride to go to the pumpkin patch.  While we were waiting we explored a few other things.

Once we made it to the pumpkin patch, we were given free reign to pick out our pumpkin.  It wasn't quite as hard as picking out a Christmas tree, but we still wanted to find the perfect pumpkins.  We actually got to pick the pumpkins from the vine, which was a first for me!  Parker took off running as soon as we were off the hayride.  We found two pumpkins and Aunt Laura picked out one for her dorm room.

We made it home and set the pumpkins on the front stoop in preparation for Halloween.
