Cows, Cows Everywhere

We welcomed the New Year with family in Atlanta.  Friday morning, we left town to drive to Atlanta to cheer on the Gamecocks at the Chick-fil-a bowl game.  Before the game, we took the MARTA to Fanfest and saw the marching band and football players.  Parker had fun dancing around and eating Chick-fil-a.    He was such a trooper during the game.  For a little boy without a nap, he did a great job.  He disappointed his Daddy by doing the tomahawk cheer but other than that, all it took was a pizza and lots of cows to keep him happy!  Maybe he'll be ready for a game or two next season.  Although the Gamecocks lost, we had a blast!

At the end of the game, we rushed over to Underground Atlanta to watch the Peach drop.  Parker almost stayed awake to welcome 2011, but fell asleep on his Daddy's shoulders a few minutes before midnight.

We stayed in the Buckhead area, right across from Lenox Square. Our hotel had a fun train and lots of holiday decorations that Parker enjoyed seeing.   We also had a nice view of Atlanta's skyline from our windows (see picture below).  We were even able to take a quick trip to the pool while we were there!

Happy 2011!
