After working for eight hours, we were hungry! We headed over to Paul and Lauren's (our friends from church) on Saturday evening for a cook-out. The weather was beautiful. I was a little worried about how Parker would hold out - he only had napped for about an hour the entire day - but he had a great time playing with some of his buddies. Jon was able to play a few games of cornhole while I watched the first half of New Moon. I've already added it to our Netflix queue. I can't wait until it arrives so I can finish it.
The unexpected happened Sunday morning and Parker slept until 9am. Can you believe it? It has been over a year since I have slept in that late. It was amazing :)
After breakfast and a little bit of playtime, we were on the road to Greenwood, South Carolina. My older cousin, Nathan, just accepted a call to a church there and his installation service was Sunday afternoon. We picked-up Great-Granddaddy on our way and were able to spend some time catching up with him. It was a wonderful service and we were able to see family that we hadn't seen in a while. Parker had a blast playing with his second cousins. He was so tired on the way home. I think his eyes were closed before we pulled out of the church parking lot. This is the only picture I took all weekend!
We're looking forward to another busy week. Church softball has started back, so Parker and I might try to make it to Daddy's game Tuesday night if the weather is nice. We're taking a trip up to Charlotte this weekend and are looking forward to seeing family up that way.
