Hello faithful blog readers! Sorry for the long lapse between postings. We took a surprise trip to Charlotte to spend the weekend with the birthday girl - also known as Grandmomma. Although she was excited to see all four of us, I think she was most excited to see Parker! Gramsy was in town so it was fun to spend some time with her as well. Brice decided to make a grand entrance into the house, so we stood back while my mom tried to figure out how he had made the trip alone up to Charlotte, then we walked in with Parker. It was quite funny!
All the girls traveled to Greenville on Saturday for a bridal shower for our soon-to-be sister-in-law Cameron. We had a wonderful time and met a lot of Cameron's family. Parker tagged along with us and had fun playing with Cameron's two little cousins, who really wore him out! He slept the entire trip back to Charlotte. We even took a quick stop at the Gaffney outlets where Parker was spoiled by Grandmomma and Gramsy with a few pj's for the cooler weather. After church on Sunday we spent some time with extended family before heading back down to Columbia.
This Thursday is the big day - Carolina football season officially begins with a game at NC State. It's easy to tell that everyone around Columbia is getting pumped up. Jon has taught Parker the Alma Mater and he is working on having it memorized...
...just kidding (although it probably won't be long)! We plan to grill out with some friends while we cheer on the Gamecocks.
Sorry for the lack of pictures in this post...our camera is on it's last leg. I'm hoping that "Handyman Jon" can have it up and running soon so I can at least add some pictures of our professional crawler! He's all over the place!
Hope everyone has a great week!
